Changing BKD files (layout) on the fly

Hi,

I wanted the keyboard to work a little like the iPhone one where you tap a certain key and get a different layout (i.e. for symbols etc...).

The way i was going to do this was to assign the special toggle key the 'F24' value (as it's never used) and trap that on keydown then replace the BKD file with the correct one. However this is not working as expected and the new layout is not shown (even though the BKD file is set correctly)

What is the best way to do this please?

Regards,
Andy.

Hello Andy.

Changing the keyboard layout during run-time works fine for me. I've also attached a sample project in Visual Studio 2008 (.NET CF 3.5, C#) that I used for testing. Please check it out and let me know if it works for you too.

Thank you.

Best regards
Vladimir Gregor
